We have two of these car seats now. My oldest child started in hers at around 4 months and it has been great. Super comfortable and easy to adjust the straps. This Graco slimfit is night and day compared to the Graco TriRide. This car seat is so much easier to install. It cost more but was worth it to save on the frustration of install. My husband is much happier installing and taking my son in and out of this car seat.

the tether strap to install was barely long enough, with no slack at all for installation making it really a challenge to get it secured. The good news is once secured there is zero movement at the base. also the harness straps are pretty short given the age range. My grandson is 4 and small for his age, and even in the furthest slot the crotch strap of the harness seems excessively tight. Another 3 inches of play in the straps would be nice, As far as him being secure in the seat there is no question, and that is the most important part for me.
