Install is pretty straightforward with a simple screwdriver as long as you don't need to drill the hole for a deadbolt. Make sure you have 4 AA batteries when you are installing as they are not included. Programming codes is pretty straightforward and you can program more codes than you'll every need including 1 time use codes. Battery life is pretty decent as well depending on usage. Overall a solid product if you don't need or want smartphone access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SmartCode lock is wonderful if you have guests, babysitters, housekeepers etc coming into your house a lot. It allows you to give them one time codes and no need to worry with a key. I feel the best feature of this smart lock is the ability to re-key your keys yourself! This would come in handy if you have a rental property as it would save you the cost of a locksmith after each tenant leaves. Setup took me around 45 minutes. I downloaded the Built app and it gave very clear and easy to follow instructions. I'm usually not very handy but I didn't have a problem with installation. I watched a lot of their promotional videos about this lock and the security of it. I feel VERY safe and secure with this lock and they made it where it's practically un-pickable. Overall a very well made smart lock that is great to have if you have a lot of guests coming in and out of your house or kids that lose keys!
