I've never done acrylic nails or spent much time or money in a salon but I've had gel nail polish that lasted thru regular life and held up well. But taking it off? A time consuming hassle. This base coat goes on smoothly and seems to work well with Gellen polish. It has less of a strong smell than the other brand I was using. I don't yet know about the peel-off feature as I haven't tried to remove it yet, but so far so good!
