Warm Quiet Bibs

Pros - Warm, Blocks the wind, Very quiet, Deep front pockets that are great for electric handwarmers, True to size, Easy to put on over boots with the zippered legs, Cargo pockets on each side, Two chest pockets, Chest zipper that runs from the crotch to the to of the bibs for easy getting in and out of unlike overalls. Cons - Bulky, Shoulder straps seem cheap but have held up so far, Only one front zipper that runs from the crotch area to the top of the bibs (if you need to take care of "business" behind a tree, you can't pull up a second zipper from the crotch area to unzip that area of the bibs. You have to unzip your coat and if wearing any clothes under the coat and over the bibs you have to put your hand underneath those clothes and reach up to the top of the bibs to pull down the zipper to get to what you need to get at. Would be a lot more convenient if there were two zippers installed for this.) I have worn these bibs and the Fraser Ridge Fleece Coat out in windy near zero and below zero temps in a tree stand and stayed warm. I wear Cabela's Men's E.C.W.C.S. Polar Weight Hoodie and pants as a base layer, and either a lightweight, midweight, or heavier fleece lined hoodie (depending on temps and type of activity, like sitting or stalking), 85% minimum Merino wool socks, and the Fraser Ridge coat and bibs. I have rifle and crossbow hunted in this set up and it worked great Shot two deer from a 25' high tree stand with deer less than 20 yards away with a crossbow. I had to reach around and grab the crossbow off the hook screwed into the side of the tree and bring it up to my shoulder to aim and fire off the shot. The coat and bibs didn't make any noise while performing this movement in a very quiet wooded environment.

Love these bibs

I always wore wool bibs when it got cold, then I tried Midway's fleece. They are heavy duty and keep you warm even in the worst conditions.Shot my biggest buck in a snowstorm with a driving wind.It was nasty, but I stayed warm even sitting on a field edge.Get a pair, you won't regret it!!!

Performs flawlessly

I ordered this for cold, late season Texas hunting and got the chance to use it just before Christmas when the temperature was 31 degrees with a humidity of 55% and 15 - 20 mph winds..feels like temps were 18 - 20 degrees. These bibs made all the difference and kept me on the stand (literally, I was in a tripod, 12' feet up with no protection from the elements) and I was comfortable. I HATE the super cold weather and won't usually venture out in it, but these bibs were the difference maker. I run between a 36-38" waist with a bit of a belly and the xlarge fit well. I had on a pair of the new fangled thin thermo drawers and a pair of wranglers under the bibs. The bibs felt snug but not uncomfortable. I would also mention that I walked about a mile and a half checking cameras prior to taking the stand and did not get over heated either. Plenty of pockets. Great clothing Midway.
