Great little radio for thos who crave simplicity

This radio is ideal for people (particularly older people) who don't want to be dazzled--and confused--by a multitude of electronic options and settings, but rather do want something childishly simple like the radios they grew up with. This Sangean hits the nail right on the head, providing only on-off control and volume control, along with an analog tuner. Couldn't be simpler. In the bargain you get high quality, excellent sound, and a very good tuner. It's a bit pricey, but certainly decent value for what you get.

Packs A Punch!

Replaced a 30+ year old Zenith table top stereo radio that finally pooped out. The Sangean WR-11 is well made, and don't be fooled by its diminutive size. I like a lot of base and this radio doesn't disappoint. I would have preferred the more expensive stereo model but wasn't willing to spend the extra bucks. All in all, a great little radio.

Excellent basic radio.

I bought this for my mother who is hard of hearing. The sound quality needs to be very good in order for her to hear it. I checked out other reviews before buying and the only negative was that it lacked bells and whistled - just basic am/fm radio with good sound. And that's exactly what we wanted. My mother is enjoying the radio and says it's very clear and she has no trouble understanding the announcers etc.
