Great tent for the money!

I enjoy camping in colder weather with a wood stove. I originally bought the Ozark Trail 10x12 wall tent (6 years ago). I really enjoyed it, but I left it set up over night and we had a blizzard roll through and it snowed so much that it collapsed the poles. I bought this tent to replace that one and I am very impressed. Pros: 1. It is very large. 2. The screen room is awesome (it will be my bathroom when temps dip below freezing). 3. Heavy duty tent material. I snagged it pretty hard on a sharp branch while transporting it and ripped a couple small holes; a standard tent would have been destroyed. I was able to easily patch the holes and I'll be using for a 10 day outing in a couple weeks. It's not canvas, but I see this tent laying for many years. 4. Exterior frame. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but it makes it much easier to set up and the plastic used for the clips seems to be high quality. The poles also seem to be well coated and stronger than the 10x12 wall tent. 5. Attached floor that extends up a few inches. I really like the detached floor of the 10x12, but my wife did not like the idea.. she's much happier with this design. 6. Quality screens and plenty of them. 7. Velcro stove jacks for multiple sizes of pipe (no more having to cut to size). 8. Heat resistant mat for under a wood stove.. and it's very large. Cons: 1. The poles and frame connectors are one, so you are fighting with heavy and hard to pack poles that refuse to lay even remotely flat. This is the first tent I have struggled to fit it the bag for many years. usually I am easily able to repack a tents as tight or tighter than factory.. but this thing is I pain! 2. Small windows. I like that there's a reason fly over the windows so you can hand them open while raining, but the windows feel small due to half being taken up by the fly. 3. Floor vents can only be opened/cold from outside. 4. Limited storage options for such a large tent. It would be nice to have loops/attachment points for additional storage options and/or rope lighting. 5. Fixed height poles. It's not going to be easy to find perfectly level ground your an 18 foot long tent and just the slighted high variance can cause extra tension on some of the attachments points and to the zippers. Adjustable poles would be nice for the sides. Where i set my tent up, I just don't use the pole lock and allow the pole to travel beyond the hole. this extra inch or so made a big difference on the tension when opening closing the doors. 6. Carrying bag is narrow. A wider, lower profile, bag would be easier to handle. This one is so narrow that it becomes top heavy and hard to handle. The 10x12 wall tent bag would be ideal.

Finally, I got to try it out. Once I figured out the instructions, I was able to set it up all by my 61-year-old self in about 30-45 minutes. My only issue with it is it comes with, in my opinion, cheap tent stakes. Also, I would have also put a window in the back. Since it is framed the way it is I was able to stretch a large tarp over it, which came in very handy in the 100-degree heat. Well worth the money!

Good Tent Would Recommend

I wasn't sure what to think, reading the reviews. I took it out to my local recreation area yesterday and camped in it for 2 days… Here are the pros and cons Pros -HUGE -Made of good materials -The material keep me a little warmer than outside -Not much condensation formed inside -very sturdy in the wind. We camped in 40mph gusts and didn't even notice it. -I would very much trust it in the rain -The zippers were really good and very smooth -tons of ventilation -very tall, I am 6 foot 4 and I could walk all over in it -colors are great Cons -Setup takes a little while (30 min 1st time) BUT I will also say that it's simple, just a little labor intensive -it weighs a lot -couldn't get everything back in the bag after using.
