I bought this carafe to replace one that had cracked (as they eventually do, over time). This one is obviously well-made, but it doesn't fit the coffeemaker (which I had purchased elsewhere).
Now, I had thought that Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffeemakers would all be the same and that the components would fit— but there obviously had been a redesign at some point. So I'm going to try to return this for a refund, if I can.
In the meantime I went back to Walmart, bought a whole new coffeemaker (yet *another* redesigned model!) and will have to send the old one to electronic recycling. (I'm not a fan of creating more landfill waste.)
