So I have used this thermometer to check the internal temperature of meat to make sure it's up to the correct temp. I have used it to make candy. The important thing to do is to keep the probe clean in between uses. This unit is small and compact and can easily fit into a drawer and I love it because it doesn't take up a lot of space and because the temperature probe folds down in on the unit, I don't have to worry about the probe, getting bent or damaged

I love this meat thermometer it's the perfect size also I like how it's fold so the probe don't get damaged easily also the LCD screen is nice so you don't need to shine a light on it to see the the temp it also holds long battery life one AAA batterie can get you a year of life or longer depending on use of it I got a second one for my camper trailer for summer time cooking
