I had a Taylor oven thermometer that served me for over 25 years. This one is same model %23 but you can tell there have been some improvements. I checked the accuracy and it is or - 2 degrees f. Most digital oven thermometers only do heat range for meats. This is programmable. Perfect baked potatoes are 210- 215 f this thermometer can be set easily to 210f

Better than expected. Sucesssfully smoked 5 big turkeys 18-20lb using this on my (also bought from Walmart) pit boss pellet smoker. Pro tip: use the black bag pellets. Competition Blend Definitely came in clutch. 10/10 Edit: just realized it fell in water…. Will be buying another if it doesn't come back to life in the ole' rice bag 😂 But it did the job. Worth it!

Guess vs accuracy

This thing works great. I have used it twice and can say it is acccurate and take the a worry out of guessing how long to cook something. Used it to roast turkey at thanksgiving and a prime roast at Christmas. Both come out perfect. I would have cooked the turkey an extra 50 minutes using weight vs time and the roast would have been pulled out early.
