I've owned a couple of cheaper thermometers that died. This one should last. I used it often for grilling this past summer and still using the original batteries. I like the large lighted display. It turns on when open and shuts off when closed. I never fail to get a steak done just right when using this thermometer. Also good for double checking the oven thermometer for accuracy when cooking a roast or turkey. Easy to clean, simply wipe off the probe before putting it away.

I had to buy this due to being in the middle of a move and packing up my other one that will probably never be seen again. I was pretty surprised at the quality for as cheap as it was. I've been using it for months now, and it's still kickin'. I did check it's accuracy with a very reliable thermometer and it was off 3° on the low side which is exceptional for the price. This is one of the best investments I have gotten since I've been living in an apartment. And I highly recommend this. It will give you accurate temperature on your meats, especially hamburger and chicken and whatever else suggests you using a meat thermometer on. This store is very easy and it is good when you're cooking on a grill inside or out check your Meet when it is cooking to make sure it is at the right temperature and it is safe to eat afterwards.
