Cooking and grilling “must-have”. Instant read to keep any Chef's meats from being over (dry) or under (potentially harmful) cooked. One caution, clean the probe only to extend the thermometer's lifetime! Some water doesn't hurt it just don't soak it to preserve the battery.

Must have for steaks

I've owned a couple of cheaper thermometers that died. This one should last. I used it often for grilling this past summer and still using the original batteries. I like the large lighted display. It turns on when open and shuts off when closed. I never fail to get a steak done just right when using this thermometer. Also good for double checking the oven thermometer for accuracy when cooking a roast or turkey. Easy to clean, simply wipe off the probe before putting it away.
