It is Accurate but very delicate!

This is a very accurate temp. "Lighted" Digital display stays on for a second and then goes of but can read in regular light. As for the quality you have to be very careful with it because its very delicate or you could snap it. i gave it 4 stars because of that and for the money its ok. I think if it was just one piece that did not bend it would be better quality.

Taylor has always been dependable. The device is accurate. The two switches are too close to each other and when you press on them you will probably press on the display. The display doesn't stay on long enough to go into a dark oven, so you have to press it down again to light it up.

I ordered a stainless thermometer because I'm old school, but they didn't have one so this was the alternative. At first I was doubtful that I'd like it, but it actually works really well. I only wish the back light stayed on longer. It's great with checking meat temps while cooking, the digits on the screen are easy to read, it's much more compact that the old stainless ones so it fits right into my utensil drawer with no snagging or issues, and I am sure it will be a great asset in the summer when we grill
