I grew up in the 50 s and 60 s with this type of living room chairs. It is doesn't slump you in it. Just firm but actually realigns your spine. A matching foot rest wood do well. I have a pouf I use for foot rest. Loving this chair ! I gave up on my recliner. I never was one to hang out in that type of chair. It was comfortable but maybe too relaxed. Couldn't read a book sitting it. Thanks for the price. This chair is rock solid. My brother was impressed how simple to put together and so sturdy. There's only one thing I had to do to keep the chair from sliding on me. I use the rubber small plates under each leg. Problem solved! I'll order the actual rubber tips later.tThe material is a form of leather..no smell. Thank you again. No slouching..just easy sit up in comfort for my back.

This is super cute looked great in our area and very easy to put together. The boxes is large, but not overly heavy as other items we've ordered in the past came in time and no damage to the package.
