They should call it Beef Stew-

Though this is called pot roast, it really should be called beef stew, because that is what it really is. I have been trying all of the complete dinners just to find which ones I will be repurchasing. So far the turkey and dressing is my favorite. It had been some time since I had it and the first one was mostly gravy, but the second one was perfect. I will definitely be rebuying the pot roast again, or should I say beef stew.

Hormel Compleats Roast Beef

I really like the flavor of the beef pot roast dinner. I sometimes think it should be a little bit bigger for a meal but in reality, it is really the right quantity. I usually serve it with a vegetable or a salad (or both) and it makes a very adequate lunch or dinner. I like just about all of these Hormel Compleats meals. The only ones I don't much care for are the ones that have dumplings or doughy things in them. Easy, fast, tasty, what more can you ask for?

What a pleasant surprise

I was pleasantly surprised !! I was looking for something to have, on the side, for a quick pick-me-up, when I discovered these little meals. They are quite tasty. You get a decent-enough sized portion. The cost is great. Just a little over $2. The calories run around 200-300. And, they are hot and ready-to-eat, in just 60 seconds. The only drawback that I can see is the sodium count. If you are on a salt restricted diet, you can't be eating these too often. I do recommend that you give them a try.
