Soooo soft!!!

Hello Mimi, thank you for your review. The Rio Shag Rug does contain a latex backing. However, we highly recommend using a rug pad for all of our rugs. Please note we do not recommend using our indoor rugs in humid environments like the bathroom. It is best to look for indoor/outdoor rug or a machine washable rug.
