Window lights are decorative lighting designed to sit in, hang on, or frame a window to add ambience or seasonal flair.

• Styles include curtain string lights, icicle strands, suction‑cup silhouettes, and flameless window candles.
• Power options can be plug‑in, USB, battery, or solar.
• Many sets offer remotes, timers, multiple modes, color‑changing, or music sync.
• Use indoors, or outdoors when the product is rated for exterior conditions.

You can shop a wide selection at Walmart online and choose pickup or delivery. To pick the right set, consider size, brightness, and features that match your space and how you plan to mount it.

If you want the glow of a lit window without hardwiring, consider:

• Curtain string lights that drape across glass for an even, luminous backdrop.
• Window candles for a classic warm glow on the sill.
• Suction‑cup silhouettes (stars, snowflakes, patriotic motifs) that show a crisp shape from the street.
• Programmable LED displays that can show patterns, text, or simple animations.

Choose warm white for cozy ambience or multicolor for festive vibes. Match the set’s dimensions to your window and verify whether it’s intended for indoor or outdoor use. Features like timers and remotes can help keep the look consistent with minimal effort.

1. Measure the window and pick a style (curtain, candle, silhouette).
2. Clean the glass/trim so suction cups or hooks grip better.
3. Attach hardware: use suction cups on glass, adhesive hooks on trim, or a tension rod across the top for curtain lights.
4. Hang the lights and route the cord neatly; avoid pinching cables in the window.
5. Power up (plug‑in, USB, or battery) and set modes/timers as needed.

For safety, keep lights away from heat sources, don’t block an egress window, and ensure cords don’t create tripping hazards. Confirm the product is intended for indoor use, and test adhesives on a small area to help reduce the chance of marks.

In window and door terminology, a “lite” is a single pane of glass within a frame.

• The word derives from “light,” meaning an opening that admits daylight; “lite” is a common modern spelling used in product descriptions.
• Multi‑lite windows have several panes separated by muntins (grids), described as 6‑lite, 12‑lite, and so on.
• “Lites” indicates the layout and style of the glazing, not the glass type itself.

When shopping, recognizing “lites” helps you understand sizing and patterns, which is useful if you’re choosing decorative window lights to complement or highlight those grids.

Start by measuring your window’s width and height, including the frame if you want full coverage.

• Common curtain light sizes range roughly from about 5–10 ft wide with drops around 5–10 ft.
• Pick a width slightly wider than the glass so strands reach the sides or overlap the trim.
• For tall or wide windows, consider connectable sets or longer drops to minimize gaps.
• Check strand count, spacing, and LED density for the look you prefer—denser for a bright backdrop, sparser for a softer effect.
• Verify indoor/outdoor rating and power type (plug‑in, USB, battery) to match your setup.
