Choosing the right ottoman size depends on your space and how you plan to use it. Here are a few tips:

• Measure your area: Make sure there's enough room to walk around the ottoman comfortably.
• Consider furniture height: Ottomans should be about the same height as your sofa or chair for easy use as a footrest.
• Think about function: If you want extra storage or a coffee table alternative, a larger ottoman might work best. For small spaces, a compact or round style can fit nicely without crowding the room.

Storage ottomans are great for keeping your space tidy. You can use them to store:

• Blankets and throws
• Board games or toys
• Magazines and books
• Remote controls or small electronics
• Shoes or slippers near entryways

Just be sure not to overload the ottoman, and always check the manufacturer's guidelines for weight limits to keep it in good shape.

Cleaning a fabric ottoman is pretty simple with the right approach:

1. Vacuum regularly: Use a soft brush attachment to remove dust and crumbs.
2. Spot clean: For spills, blot gently with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the fabric.
3. Check care tags: Always follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer for best results.

For deeper cleaning, consider using a fabric-safe upholstery cleaner, but test it on a small area first.

Many ottomans are designed to double as extra seating, especially those with sturdy frames and padded tops. They're handy for guests or casual gatherings. However, it's a good idea to check the product details for weight capacity and recommended use. Some ottomans are best as footrests or accent pieces, while others are built to handle regular seating.

Ottomans can be a practical choice for homes with kids or pets. Look for styles with rounded edges and durable upholstery to help prevent bumps and wear. Storage ottomans with lids should be used with care—make sure little fingers can't get pinched. Regular cleaning and choosing easy-care materials can help keep your ottoman looking good, even in busy households.
