Triangle banner flags are commonly known as pennant banners or triangle bunting. These decorative flags are often strung together on a cord or string and used for parties, festivals, sports events, and outdoor celebrations. Pennant banners come in a variety of colors, patterns, and materials, making them a versatile option for marking spaces, adding festive flair, or highlighting special occasions. You’ll find them in both indoor and outdoor setups, and they’re easy to hang across fences, walls, or garden spaces.

Triangles on flags can represent different meanings depending on the context. In many cases, a triangle symbolizes strength, unity, or direction. For example, some pride flags use triangles to reflect inclusion and progress, while safety pennant banners use bright triangle shapes for visibility and marking boundaries. The triangle’s shape is also practical—it catches the wind easily, making it noticeable for events or marking areas outdoors.

In the United States, flag decorations strung together—especially for patriotic holidays—are often called bunting. Bunting refers to a string of flags, usually in red, white, and blue, used to decorate homes, porches, and public spaces for events like the Fourth of July or Memorial Day. The term has historical roots and is still widely used for festive displays, including triangle pennant banners and garlands.

The only national flag with a triangular shape belongs to Nepal. Unlike most countries that use rectangular flags, Nepal’s flag is made of two stacked triangles. While most triangle banner flags are used for decoration or marking purposes, Nepal’s flag is unique in its official status and design, making it stand out among world flags.

• Choose a sturdy location, like fences, trees, or poles.
• Use weather-resistant string or cord to secure the banner.
• Attach the ends tightly to prevent sagging or blowing away.
• If your banner has grommets, thread the cord through for extra stability.
• For long banners, add extra support points in the middle.

Outdoor triangle pennant banners are designed to withstand wind and sunlight, but checking the setup regularly can help keep your decorations looking great for any event.
