Choosing the right size for your tailgate graphic is important for a great fit and look. Start by measuring the width and height of your truck's tailgate, making sure to account for any curves or handles. Compare your measurements to the graphic's listed dimensions. If you're between sizes, it's usually best to go a little smaller to avoid overlap. Many graphics are designed for specific truck models, so check the product details to see if your vehicle is listed. If you're unsure, reach out to Walmart's customer service for guidance before purchasing.

Yes, many tailgate decals and wraps are designed for DIY installation.

• Start by cleaning the tailgate surface thoroughly to remove dust and grease.
• Dry the area completely before applying the decal.
• Carefully align the graphic, peel off the backing, and press it down slowly to avoid bubbles.
• Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out the decal as you go.

Tailgate wraps and decals are generally made with automotive-grade vinyl designed to be safe for factory paint when applied and removed properly. Before applying, make sure the paint is in good condition and free of rust or chips. When it's time to remove the wrap, gently heat the vinyl with a hair dryer and peel it off slowly to minimize residue. If any adhesive remains, use a mild cleaner. Following these steps can help protect your truck's finish, but always read the product instructions for best results.

To keep your tailgate graphic in top shape,

• Wash your truck by hand with mild soap and water instead of using harsh chemicals or automatic car washes.
• Avoid high-pressure washers directly on the decal edges.
• Dry the area with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.

Most tailgate letters and wraps are made to withstand everyday weather, including rain, sun, and snow. They're typically crafted from durable vinyl or similar materials with strong adhesives. However, extreme conditions or frequent exposure to road salt and chemicals may affect longevity over time. For best results, follow the care instructions provided and check the product details for any specific weather resistance information. If you notice peeling or fading, you can usually replace just the affected section without removing the entire graphic.
