Hanging string lights in your dorm is pretty simple! Start by planning your layout—decide if you want them along the walls, ceiling, or around your bed. Use

• removable adhesive hooks
• command strips
• clips

String lights can add a cozy vibe to your study space, but they're best used as accent lighting. If you need bright, focused light for reading or homework, pair string lights with a desk lamp. Some LED strip lights offer adjustable brightness and color, which can help reduce eye strain. Just make sure your workspace is well-lit so you can stay comfortable and productive.

Both battery-operated and plug-in string lights have their perks.

• Battery-powered lights are portable and don’t require an outlet, making them great for flexible setups.
• Plug-in lights usually offer brighter illumination and more lighting modes, but you’ll need access to a power source.

To use string lights safely indoors, always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure your lights are rated for indoor use and avoid placing them near flammable materials. Don’t overload electrical outlets or extension cords, and unplug lights when you leave the room or go to sleep. If you’re using battery-operated lights, check for any signs of damage before use. Safety first for a cozy, worry-free space!
