When shopping for a smart PC, consider how you'll use it. Key things to check include:

• Processor: Faster processors help with multitasking and demanding tasks.
• RAM: More RAM means smoother performance, especially for gaming or heavy software.
• Storage: SSDs load files and programs quickly, while larger drives store more data.
• Connectivity: Features like WiFi 6, Bluetooth, and multiple USB ports make connecting devices easier.
• Display: If you want an all-in-one, look for a clear, high-resolution screen.

Think about your needs—work, gaming, or everyday use—to find the right fit.

Setting up a mini desktop computer is usually straightforward. Here’s a simple guide:

1. Unbox and place the mini PC on a stable surface near your monitor and power outlet.
2. Connect the monitor using HDMI or DisplayPort cables.
3. Plug in your keyboard and mouse via USB or Bluetooth.
4. Attach the power adapter and turn on the device.
5. Follow the on-screen setup to connect to WiFi and personalize your settings.

Some smart PCs are designed for gaming, while others are better for everyday tasks. Gaming PCs usually have:

• Powerful processors
• Dedicated graphics cards
• Plenty of RAM

Mini PCs and all-in-ones can handle light gaming or older titles, but for the latest games, look for models with advanced graphics and higher RAM. Always check the system requirements of your favorite games to make sure the PC meets them.

To help your smart PC perform well over time, try these tips:

• Keep software updated to get the latest features and security patches.
• Restart regularly to clear temporary files and refresh the system.
• Use antivirus software to protect against malware.
• Clean dust from vents to prevent overheating—just use a soft cloth or compressed air.
• Uninstall unused programs to free up space and resources.

These habits can help your PC stay fast and reliable for everyday use.

Upgrading parts depends on the type of smart PC you have. Traditional desktops often let you add more RAM or swap out storage drives. Mini PCs and all-in-ones may have limited upgrade options due to their compact design. Before buying, check the product details or manual to see which parts are accessible. If you’re unsure, Walmart’s tech support or in-store associates can help answer upgrade questions.
