Choosing the right size strainer depends on what you plan to use it for.

• Smaller strainers (around 3-4 inches) are great for tea, spices, or single servings.
• Medium sizes (5-6 inches) work well for sifting flour or straining sauces.
• Larger strainers (7-8 inches and up) are ideal for draining pasta, rinsing fruits, or handling bigger batches.

Think about your typical kitchen tasks and match the strainer size to your needs. If you cook a variety of foods, a set with multiple sizes can be handy.

To clean a mesh strainer, rinse it right after use to prevent food from drying and sticking.

1. Use warm, soapy water and a soft brush to gently scrub the mesh.
2. For stubborn bits, soak the strainer for a few minutes before scrubbing.
3. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry.

Some strainers are dishwasher safe, but always check the product details first. Regular cleaning helps keep your strainer in good shape and ready for your next kitchen project.

Yes, many fine mesh strainers or nut milk bags are suitable for making nut milk.

• After blending nuts and water, pour the mixture through the strainer to separate the pulp from the liquid.
• Ultra-fine mesh is best for a smoother result.

Just make sure the strainer is clean and free from any residue before use. This method can also work for other homemade beverages like oat milk or juice.

Fine mesh strainers are commonly used for sifting flour and other dry ingredients.

• They help break up clumps and aerate the flour, which can improve baking results.
• Simply add flour to the strainer and tap or shake gently over your mixing bowl.

Mesh size matters—finer mesh works best for sifting, while larger holes are better for draining. Always check the product description to see if the strainer suits your baking needs.

To keep your strainers in top condition, store them in a dry place and avoid stacking heavy items on top.

• Hang them by their handles if possible, or nest them gently inside each other.
• Make sure they’re completely dry before storing to prevent rust or mold.

Proper storage helps extend the life of your kitchen tools and keeps them ready for your next recipe.
