Secure checks are designed with multiple security features to help reduce the risk of fraud and unauthorized alterations. These features can include watermarks, microprinting, holograms, and security-tinted backgrounds. When you use secure check paper, it becomes much harder for counterfeiters to duplicate or tamper with your checks. While these features can help protect your business or personal finances, it's still important to monitor your accounts regularly and follow best practices for check handling and storage.

Most secure check paper is compatible with laser and inkjet printers, but it's a good idea to check the product details before purchasing. Some checks are specifically designed for certain software, like QuickBooks, and may require a particular layout or format. Always make sure your printer can handle the paper size and weight, and avoid using printers that may smudge or misalign the security features. If you're unsure, you can review the product description or ask a store associate for guidance.

Blank secure checks let you print your own account information, payee details, and amounts, making them ideal for businesses that use accounting software. Pre-printed secure checks already include your account and routing numbers, so you just fill in the payee and amount. Both types offer security features, but blank checks provide more flexibility for customization. Choose the option that fits your workflow and software compatibility best.

To keep your unused secure checks safe, store them in a locked drawer or safe that only authorized individuals can access. Avoid leaving checks out in the open or in easily accessible locations. It's also a good idea to keep track of check quantities and periodically review your inventory. Proper storage helps maintain the integrity of the security features and reduces the risk of theft or misuse.

Many secure checks are designed to be compatible with popular accounting software like QuickBooks and other business programs. This makes it easy to print checks directly from your software, streamlining payroll, accounts payable, and other financial tasks. When shopping, look for checks labeled as software-compatible and check the format (top, middle, or bottom) to match your software’s requirements. If you need help, Walmart associates can assist you in finding the right match for your needs.
