Choosing the right shelf size depends on your space and what you plan to store. Here are a few tips:

• Measure your space: Check the height, width, and depth where you want to place the shelf.
• Consider your items: Think about the size and weight of what you'll store—heavier items may need deeper or sturdier shelves.
• Adjustability: Some shelves have adjustable heights, which can help fit taller or oddly shaped items.
• Room for growth: If your storage needs might increase, opt for a slightly larger or expandable shelf.

Review product dimensions and load capacities to make sure your choice fits your needs.

Many platform shelves are designed for versatile use, including garages. When considering shelves for garage storage, look for:

• Heavy-duty materials: Metal or reinforced plastic shelves often handle tools, bins, and equipment well.
• Load capacity: Check the weight limit to ensure it supports your items.
• Adjustable or modular options: These can help you customize storage for bulky or seasonal gear.
• Mobility: Some shelves have wheels for easy repositioning.

Always follow assembly instructions and secure shelves as needed for safety.

Cleaning platform shelves is simple and helps keep your space tidy. Here’s how you can do it:

• Remove items: Take everything off the shelves first.
• Dust and wipe: Use a soft cloth or duster for loose dirt. For sticky spots, a damp cloth with mild soap works well.
• Dry thoroughly: Make sure shelves are completely dry before putting items back, especially for metal or wood materials.
• Check for wear: While cleaning, inspect for any signs of damage or instability.

Regular cleaning can help extend the life of your shelves and keep your storage area organized.

Most platform shelves are designed for straightforward assembly, often with minimal tools required. Here’s what you can expect:

• Tool-free or simple tools: Many shelves snap together or use basic tools like screwdrivers or rubber mallets.
• Step-by-step instructions: Clear instructions are usually included to guide you through the process.
• Adjustable features: Some units let you set shelf heights during assembly for a custom fit.
• Safety tips: Assemble on a flat surface and consider anchoring taller units for added stability.

Many platform shelves offer adjustable heights, making it easy to change the configuration as your needs evolve. Here’s how it typically works:

• Removable shelves: Most units let you move or remove shelves to fit taller items.
• Tool requirements: Some adjustments may require loosening screws or clips, while others are tool-free.
• Weight considerations: Always redistribute weight evenly after adjusting to maintain stability.
• Check instructions: Refer to your product manual for specific adjustment guidelines.

This flexibility helps you get the most out of your storage solution over time.
