Choosing a pickleball paddle depends on your playing style and comfort. Consider these factors:

• Weight: Lighter paddles offer quick reactions, while heavier ones can provide more power.
• Material: Options include wood, fiberglass, and graphite. Each has a different feel and durability.
• Grip size: Make sure the handle fits comfortably in your hand.
• Set or single: Sets often include balls and bags, which can be handy for beginners.

Trying different paddles can help you find what works best for you.

Pickleballs are designed for either indoor or outdoor play. Outdoor balls usually have smaller holes and are made to withstand wind and rough surfaces. Indoor balls have larger holes and are lighter, making them easier to control on smooth courts. Always check the packaging to see which type you’re getting, and use the right ball for your playing environment for the best experience.

Keeping your pickleball paddles clean helps them last longer. Here’s a simple method:

1. Wipe the paddle surface with a damp cloth to remove dirt and sweat.
2. Use mild soap if needed, but avoid harsh chemicals.
3. Dry the paddle completely before storing.

Don’t soak the paddle or leave it in direct sunlight for extended periods. Regular cleaning can help maintain grip and performance.

Many pickleball sets available at Walmart are designed with beginners in mind. Sets often include paddles, balls, and carry bags, making it easy to get started. Look for features like comfortable grips and lightweight paddles, which can help new players learn the game. If you’re just starting out, a complete set can be a convenient way to begin playing without needing extra gear.

Proper storage keeps your pickleball equipment in good shape. Store paddles and balls:

• In a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Inside a carry bag or case to protect from dust and scratches.
• Off the ground to avoid moisture damage.

Taking care of your gear can help it last longer and stay ready for your next game.
