When shopping for a pre-owned or refurbished iPad, look for devices that have been tested, restored, and certified by reputable sellers. At Walmart, restored iPads often undergo thorough inspections to check battery health, screen quality, and overall functionality.

• Check for warranty options or return policies.
• Look for descriptions mentioning battery percentage and condition.
• Read customer reviews for feedback on reliability.

These steps can help you feel more confident about the device's performance, but keep in mind that individual experiences may vary.

Pre-owned iPads are devices previously used and then resold, often with basic testing. Refurbished iPads, on the other hand, are restored to a higher standard, including cleaning, repairs, and hardware checks.

• Refurbished devices may have replaced parts and updated software.
• Pre-owned devices typically have more visible signs of wear.
• Refurbished products often come with limited warranties or guarantees.

Understanding these differences can help you choose the option that best fits your needs and expectations.

Most pre-owned and refurbished iPads can be updated to the latest compatible iPadOS version.

• Check the model’s generation to see which updates are supported.
• Connect to Wi-Fi and go to Settings > General > Software Update.
• Older models may not support the newest features, but can still receive security updates.

Keeping your device updated can improve performance and security, but availability of updates depends on the iPad’s age and hardware.

To clean your used iPad, start by powering it off and unplugging any accessories.

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Gently wipe the screen and body, steering clear of ports and openings.

Regular cleaning can help maintain your device’s appearance and functionality. Always follow manufacturer guidelines for best results and avoid moisture getting inside the device.

Before purchasing a used iPad, consider these important factors:

• Battery health and expected lifespan.
• Screen and body condition, including any scratches or dents.
• Compatibility with accessories and software updates.
• Warranty or return policy offered by the seller.

Reviewing these points can help you make a more informed decision and ensure the device meets your needs.
