On this page, M1-equipped tablets include:

• 2021 11-inch (3rd generation)
• 2021 12.9-inch (5th generation)
• 2022 10.9-inch (5th generation)

Listings may be offered as Wi‑Fi only or Wi‑Fi + Cellular, and in multiple storage capacities. To confirm, look for M1 in the title and check the size and generation shown. Availability can vary, especially for pre‑owned or restored items. If you are deciding among them, consider display size and portability needs. Screen size, storage, and connectivity can influence weight and battery expectations, so reviewing the specifications on each listing can help you choose a good fit for your daily use.

The first M1 tablets arrived in 2021, followed by another in 2022. In 2026, that places them at roughly 3 to 5 years old, depending on the specific release.

• 2021 releases (11-inch 3rd gen and 12.9-inch 5th gen): about 5 years old.
• 2022 release (10.9-inch 5th gen): about 4 years old.

Age can vary by individual unit and condition. Many options here are pre‑owned or restored, so it is helpful to review each listing’s condition notes, battery expectations, and what accessories are included. While age matters, capacity, screen size, and whether you want Wi‑Fi only or Wi‑Fi + Cellular connectivity can be just as important for everyday use.

M1 tablets can still offer strong everyday performance in 2026 for tasks like streaming, web browsing, note‑taking, and photo work. Many productivity and creative apps run smoothly on this chip.

• Performance: The M1 delivers capable CPU and GPU power for most workflows.
• Longevity: Software support typically continues for several years, though timelines vary.
• Value: Pre‑owned or restored listings may provide savings, with condition and accessories differing by seller.

If you handle very large projects or want the latest features, newer chips may offer incremental benefits. Matching storage, screen size, and connectivity (Wi‑Fi or Wi‑Fi + Cellular) to your needs can help you get more from the device. Results can vary based on app demands and individual device condition.

M1 models are available in three display sizes, giving you flexibility to pick what fits your workflow:

• 10.9-inch (2022, 5th generation): Portable and easy to carry.
• 11-inch (2021, 3rd generation): A balanced mid‑size option.
• 12.9-inch (2021, 5th generation): Largest canvas for multitasking and media.

Consider how you plan to use it. Reading and travel often favor smaller sizes, while sketching, multitasking, or video editing can feel roomier on a larger display. Check listing titles for the size and generation, and review dimensions and weight in the specifications when available. Availability can vary for pre‑owned and restored units, so comparing a few listings can help you find the right fit.

Storage options commonly available with M1 models include 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

• 64–128GB: Good for streaming, web, email, and cloud‑based workflows.
• 256GB: A flexible middle ground for photos, offline media, and school or work files.
• 512GB–1TB: Helpful for large media libraries, pro apps, or big projects on the go.

Actual needs vary by usage. If you shoot a lot of high‑resolution video or keep files offline, larger capacities can reduce juggling. If you mostly stream and rely on cloud storage, smaller capacities may be suitable. Check each listing’s capacity and what is included; availability can differ across pre‑owned and restored offerings.
