Finding the right hinge for your Igloo cooler is all about matching the size and model. Most replacement hinges are designed to fit coolers ranging from 25 to 165 quarts, but it's smart to check your cooler's model number or measure the hinge area before buying.

• Look for compatibility details in the product description.
• Check the number of screws and their placement.
• If you're unsure, bring your cooler's info to the store or consult online guides for extra help.

This way, you'll get a hinge that fits securely and works smoothly.

Both stainless steel and plastic hinges have their perks.

• Stainless steel hinges are known for durability and resistance to rust, making them a solid choice for frequent outdoor use.
• Plastic hinges are lightweight and often easier to install, plus they can be cost-effective.

Consider how you'll use your cooler—if it's exposed to harsh conditions, stainless steel might last longer. For occasional use or lighter loads, plastic hinges can do the job just fine.
