Choosing the right size mesh for your window or door is all about measuring carefully. Start by measuring the width and height of the area you want to cover, then add a little extra to each side for trimming and fitting.

• Check the product description for the mesh roll's dimensions.
• Consider if you need a standard size or something larger for patios or porches.
• Some mesh kits are adjustable, making them easier for custom projects.

Double-check your measurements before purchasing to help ensure a smoother installation process.

Fiberglass mesh can help keep pets safe indoors, but its effectiveness depends on the mesh's strength and weave.

• Look for mesh labeled as "pet resistant" or "heavy duty" for extra durability.
• Standard fiberglass mesh is great for keeping bugs out, but active pets may need reinforced options.
• Always check the product details to see if it's designed for pets.

Using the right mesh can help reduce the risk of tears or escapes, especially for cats and small dogs.

1. Remove the old screen and clean the frame.
2. Lay the new mesh over the frame, leaving extra on all sides.
3. Use a spline roller to press the mesh into the frame's groove with the spline.
4. Trim any excess mesh with a utility knife.

Some kits come with magnetic frames or self-adhesive strips for easier installation. Always follow the included instructions for the best results.

Keeping your fiberglass mesh screens clean helps them last longer and look better.

• Remove the screen from the window or door if possible.
• Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust and debris.
• Wash gently with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly.
• Let the screen air dry before reinstalling.

Avoid harsh chemicals or scrubbing too hard, as this can damage the mesh. Regular cleaning can help maintain airflow and visibility.

Yes, there are fine-weave mesh options designed to help block smaller insects like gnats and no-see-ums.

• Look for screens with a higher mesh count (more threads per inch).
• Fine mesh can still allow airflow while reducing the chance of tiny bugs getting through.
• Check the product details for specific insect protection features.

Choosing the right mesh can make a big difference if you live in an area with lots of small pests.
