Extra-strength Command Strips are a great option for hanging heavy pictures without using nails or screws. To get the best results:

• Clean the wall surface with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and oils.
• Attach the strips to the back of your frame, then press firmly onto the wall for about 30 seconds.
• Wait at least one hour before hanging your picture to let the adhesive bond fully.
• Always check the weight limit on the package and avoid hanging items over beds or on wallpaper.

This method helps keep your walls damage-free and makes rearranging easy.

Yes, some Command Strips are designed for humid environments like bathrooms. Look for water-resistant or bath-specific strips, which are made to hold up against moisture and steam. Before applying, make sure the surface is clean and dry. Avoid placing strips where they’ll be in direct contact with water, such as inside a shower. For best results, let the adhesive set for an hour before hanging anything. Always check the packaging to confirm the strips are suitable for bathroom use.

Extra-strength Command Strips work best on smooth, finished surfaces like painted walls, tile, glass, and finished wood. They’re not recommended for rough or porous surfaces such as brick, wallpaper, or textured walls, as the adhesive may not bond well. For optimal hold, always clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying the strip. If you’re unsure about a surface, test a small area first to see how well the strip adheres.

To remove Command Strips cleanly, hold the hook gently and pull the tab straight down, slowly stretching it along the wall. This releases the adhesive without damaging paint or leaving sticky residue. Don’t pull the strip out from the wall, as this can cause damage. If the strip is stubborn, gently wiggle the hook to loosen it. Always follow the instructions on the package for the best results and to keep your walls looking great.
