Electronic bug repellers use ultrasonic sound waves or electromagnetic pulses to help deter pests like insects and rodents from indoor or outdoor spaces. These devices plug into a standard outlet or run on batteries, emitting frequencies that are generally undetectable to humans and pets but can be unpleasant for common pests. It's important to note that effectiveness may vary depending on the type of pest, room layout, and placement of the device. For best results, follow the manufacturer's instructions and avoid placing obstacles in front of the unit.

Most electronic bug repellers are designed to be safe for use around common household pets like cats and dogs, as the ultrasonic frequencies target pests rather than pets.

• Always check the product packaging for specific pet safety information.
• If you have small animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, or birds, consult your veterinarian before use, as some pets may be more sensitive to ultrasonic sounds.

Placement is key for getting the most out of your electronic bug repeller.

1. Plug the device into an outlet in the area where you've noticed pest activity.
2. Make sure the unit is unobstructed by furniture, curtains, or appliances, as these can block the ultrasonic waves.
3. For larger spaces or multiple rooms, consider using more than one device for broader coverage.

Electronic bug repellers are generally low-maintenance, but a little care can help them work efficiently.

• Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging the device in water.
• Check periodically to ensure the device is plugged in and functioning as indicated by any status lights.

Some electronic bug repellers are designed for outdoor use and can help deter pests in gardens, patios, or camping areas.

• Look for models labeled as weather-resistant or waterproof for outdoor placement.
• Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation and care, especially regarding exposure to rain or direct sunlight.
