Command clips are a convenient way to hang holiday lights without damaging your walls or outdoor surfaces.

• First, clean the area where you want to apply the clips with rubbing alcohol to ensure a strong bond.
• Peel off the adhesive backing and press the clip firmly for about 30 seconds.
• Wait at least an hour before hanging your lights to let the adhesive set.
• Choose clips designed for outdoor use if you're decorating outside, as they're water-resistant and built to handle weather changes.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results.

Many Command clips are suitable for bathrooms, especially those labeled as water-resistant or designed for humid environments.

• Look for products that specify bathroom or moisture resistance.
• Clean tile or wall surfaces thoroughly before applying the adhesive strips.
• Allow the adhesive to set before hanging items like towels or shower accessories.

Keep in mind that heavy or wet items may require specialized clips. Always check product packaging for specific usage recommendations.

Command clips adhere best to smooth, clean surfaces like painted walls, glass, tile, and finished wood.

• Avoid using them on rough, porous, or textured surfaces such as brick, wallpaper, or unfinished wood.
• Clean the area with rubbing alcohol before application to remove dust and oils.
• Let the adhesive set for the recommended time before hanging items.

Following these tips can help maximize holding strength and minimize damage when removing the clips.

Removing Command clips is simple and designed to be damage-free when done correctly.

• Hold the clip gently and pull the adhesive strip straight down, stretching it slowly until it releases.
• Don’t pull the strip out or away from the wall, as this can cause damage.
• If any residue remains, gently clean the area with rubbing alcohol.

This method helps preserve your wall’s finish and makes redecorating easy.

While Command clips themselves can often be reused, the adhesive strips are typically single-use.

• To reuse a clip, purchase replacement adhesive strips compatible with the specific clip size and type.
• Clean the clip and surface before reapplying with a new strip.
• Check product packaging for details on strip compatibility and reuse instructions.

Using fresh adhesive strips helps maintain secure, damage-free hanging each time.
