Bulkhead lights are super versatile and can be used in a variety of spaces. Common spots include:

• Outdoor walls – Great for porches, garages, and entryways.
• Ceilings – Perfect for hallways or covered patios.
• Bathrooms and laundry rooms – Their sturdy design works well in damp areas.
• Basements or utility rooms – They offer bright, reliable lighting where you need it most.

Just make sure to check the product’s specifications for indoor or outdoor use, and always follow installation guidelines for safety.

Installing a bulkhead light is usually straightforward, but always follow the included instructions and safety precautions. Here’s a general overview:

1. Turn off power at the breaker before starting.
2. Mount the fixture’s base to the wall or ceiling, using the provided hardware.
3. Connect the wiring, matching the colors as directed in the manual.
4. Secure the light cover and restore power to test the fixture.

If you’re unsure or not comfortable with electrical work, it’s a good idea to consult a licensed electrician for help.

Many bulkhead lights are designed to be water-resistant or waterproof, making them suitable for outdoor and damp indoor areas. Look for an IP rating (like IP65 or IP66) in the product details, which indicates how well the fixture resists water and dust. Always check the specifications to ensure the light meets your needs for moisture protection, especially if you plan to use it outside or in bathrooms.

Most modern bulkhead lights are compatible with LED bulbs, and some even come with integrated LEDs. LEDs are a popular choice because they’re energy-efficient and last a long time. Before installing, check the product description or packaging to confirm bulb compatibility and wattage limits. Using the right type of bulb helps ensure safe operation and optimal lighting performance.

Keeping your bulkhead light clean helps it look good and work well. Here’s how you can do it safely:

• Turn off the power before cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth—avoid harsh chemicals.
• For tougher spots, use mild soap and water.
• Check for dust or bugs inside the cover and gently remove them if needed.

Regular maintenance can help extend the life of your light and keep it shining bright.
