Rectangular planters are super versatile and work well for a variety of plants. Here are some popular options:

• Herbs: Basil, parsley, mint, and chives thrive in these planters.
• Flowers: Petunias, marigolds, and pansies add color and do well in rectangular containers.
• Vegetables: Lettuce, spinach, and radishes are great for compact spaces.
• Succulents: These planters are perfect for creating a modern succulent arrangement.

Just make sure your planter has drainage holes and use the right soil for your chosen plants.

You can filter by material, color, and customer ratings to find the best fit for your space. Don’t forget to check for seasonal sales or bundle deals, which can help you save even more. If you prefer shopping in person, visiting your local Walmart store lets you see the planters up close and avoid shipping costs.

Absolutely! Rectangular planters can be a great choice for pothos. These plants like room to spread out, and the elongated shape gives their vines space to trail or climb. Just make sure the planter has drainage holes to prevent overwatering. Use a well-draining potting mix and place your pothos in bright, indirect light for best results. With the right care, your pothos can thrive and add a lush look to your space.

Making a rectangular planter can be a fun DIY project. Here’s a simple approach:

1. Choose your material—wood, plastic, or metal are popular options.
2. Cut panels to your desired size and assemble them into a box shape.
3. Secure the corners with screws or brackets for stability.
4. Drill drainage holes in the bottom to help prevent root rot.
5. Sand any rough edges and, if using wood, consider sealing it for outdoor use.

Always use safe tools and materials, and follow safety guidelines during assembly.

To keep your rectangular planter looking its best, try these tips:

• Clean regularly: Wipe down the exterior and remove any dirt or debris.
• Check drainage: Make sure holes aren’t blocked to avoid water buildup.
• Rotate plants: Turn your planter occasionally for even sunlight exposure.
• Refresh soil: Add new potting mix each season to keep plants healthy.
• Protect from weather: If your planter is outdoors, move it to a sheltered spot during extreme weather to help it last longer.
