I have several brands of tools including Skil and I have found that Skil is very good for the money. So when I finally decided to get a tablesaw after the inconvenience of going over to my neighbors to use his Craftsman whenever I needed to rip a board, the Skil looked like a very good deal. And I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed. I've only had the chance to use it a little, but so far I'm very impressed with it. Very accurate, clean cuts and has several well thought out features. No complaints so far and I don't foresee having any.

Quality and Price are Spot On.

I did my due diligence before purchase. The price point is spot on for the average small workshop and a lot less than the “bragging rights” big names. The Skil quality is far better than I expected for the price. I tightened all the nuts and bolts just for safe measure. The blade and fence were true as was the table. The miter gauge is somewhat loose (easily corrected) but this is typical for most table saws in this category and could be better. All the parts were there and for me the manual was an easy read. All in all I am well pleased and have already recommended it to several of my friends.
