If your unit has been standing idle for extended period of time and you cannot start it right away, please make sure that the battery is sufficiently charged to be able to crank the engine. The sufficient voltage shown by a multimeter might be misleading. The battery should be charged to deliver required electrical current.

Fits the bill

Have only set it up and run it one time, but so far, so good. Bought this to supplement a standby whole-house generator, if necessary, and to supply appreciable portable power when I need it. Lost a portable generator with twice this capacity in a fire, and decided that it had been a little too much. This one is big enough to handle the power-hungry things one-at-a-time, can handle all the less demanding stuff simultaneously, and can be run on two kinds of common fuel with reasonable run-times. Definitely provides peace of mind in case the big unit fails.

No Regrets

I just moved to the country and no electricity means no water pump so I bought this Dual Fuel. So far I tested every start method / remote/ on the unit / and pull crank both with gas and propane and everything works as it should. I am expecting to use it to power my water pump, hot water tank and lights. The electrician has not hooked it up yet but I already used it for two hours when we lost power and connected my water pump and microwave on it.
