Better Sound Protection

I purchased Walkers Razor Quad Muff for about $70. I was trying to spend less than $100. They work fine, but sound protection was not as good as I was anticipating. So I bought these Walkers Xcel 500BT. I like them much better. Sound protection is much better and I like the Bluetooth better. I paid $95 for these headphones. The extra thirty dollars are worth it. Im keeping both sets of headphones but I will only use Xcel 500BT Headphone at the gun range.

Amazing upgrade

I was using analog Razors where the sound hit both ears so you don't hear directionally. But I also use them at work in a loud environment and figured it was time for an upgrade The 500BT's have amazing clarity, love that I can connect to my phone for music and calls, so handy having directional hearing, and the different hearing modes are handy Also compared to the Razors, the wire placement on the top of the cups is much better. My razors are already separating from the insulation of the wire after maybe 1.5yr because they're in the too centre of the cups. On the 500BT they're offset so when you store them they don't pinch overtime My one downside I'd say is battery life. The Analog set is rated for maybe… 300 hours? The 500BT is more like 10 hours. Definitely carry a spare 2 or 4 batteries in your kit just to be safe. But the increase in audio quality and features makes up for it. Not to mention they're rated for a higher decibel than the Razors (22db vs 26db)
