Very nice, very good!

Crescent makes very good tools, mostly the wrenches. These are better linesman's for electrical cutting, slightly slower jaw open and closing, great for cutting.

Works Well

All the standard lineman's plier features but with the added compound action. The compound action has worked well so far. Good build quality and finish. They were a little stiff at first but easily broke in after being used a few times. I got my first pair a few years ago and have since bought a second pair.

Solid, well-built, great action, but don't open wide enough

If you need these pliers only for the job they are named for, then get them! You can't do better. But if you use pliers for multiple purposes you will probably be put off by the fact that the pliers don't open more than 1/2" at the tip, which is also the widest point of the business end of the tool.

Gigi, The tip opening should be approximate .952. Just under 1”. If you have a tool that will not pivot and open more than ½’ we need to either get it back and replace for you or you could return to your place or purchase. Please advise you address if you would like for us to handle the replacement. Ronald L.
