I let my son use my account to purchase his PS5. I'm 65 years old and even I think the PS5 is something to behold. I really underestimated my son when he said that this game console paired with a 4k HDR tv would be some of the most vivid and lifelike movements ever created. The controller is indescribable, just wicked cool. Think surround sound, only surround rumble. It loads lightning fast like described. He showed me his Madden football game, and it's an instant load into playing the game. He bought the disc version of the console, and i would highly recommend getting the disc version. For the extra $100, u get the ability to play your older PS4 disc games along with the PS5 discs, and ull be able to watch anything from a dvd to the 4k uhd blu rays, and everything video disc in between. I havent found a true 4k hdr player for less than $200, and this console has it built in. For the extra $100, just get the disc version. Yes, its fatter than the digital version, but just get this one. I'm thinking about just buying myself one later on for the disc player, and a few games to keep me entertained thru retirement. (I, myself, like the Astro's Playroom game that comes with it; I think it's cute and really showcases the controller and visuals.) I can see why my son spent nearly three months trying to get one. Our only gripes are the storage capacity, and the fact walmart took exactly 21 days from the 4th of February to finally ship it. Literally no updates on the order for 21 days, but once it got with FedEx, he received it within 24 hours. Good job FedEx, not so good job walmart.com. But, he got his coveted console. That's what matters. I'd also recommend the replacement plan just for peace of mind. This is a very expensive and coveted machine.
