KONG® Refillable and Washable Catnip Plush Cat Toy, Beaver

Note: I did not give any star rating to the "batteries" or "feathers" options because this particular Kong toy does not use batteries or have any feathers. Lewis, my older cat, got his first Kong beaver more than eleven years ago. We've gone through three or four of them since. They're durable and hold up to lots of cat action--dragging them around, playing with them, licking them, occasionally dumping them in the water fountain. The hook and loop closure keeping the catnip in the "belly" eventually wears out, but for a few dollars apiece, I'm happy to chuck the old one and give Lewis a brand-new toy to fawn over. As is typical with cats, Lewis goes through phases. He'll ignore the beaver for months on end. When he rediscovers his Kong toy, it's game on, just like when we gave him his first one. Note: The included catnip is okay, but we usually put a higher quality brand/blend into the toys. My girl cat likes a silvervine/catnip blend, and so we sometimes do that so she can enjoy one of the several toys like this beaver we also have on hand. (She likes the ladybug.)

My cat is elderly and has become a full-time in home cat now. She adapted to this toy easily because she also enjoyed the catnip inside. Even with her arthritis... she plays with it. She tosses it and chases it. It looks just like the photo.
