Let's start with construction. The bottom of the house has a fabric with little rubber dots. These make the house non skid and secure if you plan on placing it on a smooth wood floor or tile. Assembly is easy and the house is sturdy. The door opening is wide and inviting to access. I have one cat afraid of being trapped and he was the first to explore and sit in the house. The cushion is cozy. The cushion has cut out slits that allow the cushion to come outside of the door giving the kitties more leg room for their paws to expand beyond the interior. The roof uses hook and loop to secure it to the top of the walls and can be easily removed should the cat prefer more open spaces. I flipped open half the roof for the kitten who was thrilled to leap in and out of the house. Then I put it back on. I have four cats and this house fits all but one who tops out over 20 pounds. He could fit inside, but he won't try. This house is a hit in many ways. Well thought out, Sturdy. Cozy and looks nice in the human home.
