LEGO Icons Galaxy Explorer 10497 90th Anniversary Collectible Edition Model Spaceship, Space Building Set with Astronaut Figures, Gift Idea

I just had to get tho set as it is a homage to the 1979 set. Building this model was an absolute joy and took me right back to being that 6 year old child building the original set. This set has some really nice touches and would highly recommend adding it to a collection. Just wish I still had the 1979 original as they would incredible side by side.

I absolutely LOVED building my LL928 Galaxy Explorer, but want to purchase a second copy to give to my 15yr at old daughter as a gift. I wouldn't mind being put on a waiting list to make sure everybody who wants one gets one, but to just say “limit is one”- really? It's a shame! I could see purchasing a third even, if the rules allowed for it! The Galaxy Explorer is comparable in size to the 10283 Discovery Shuttle, but 1/2 as many pieces and less than half its price! You can see from my photos however, that LL928's wingspan and length are about the same as the Discovery Shuttle! •This was an incredibly rewarding build! I highly suggest getting a copy for the Lego enthusiast in your life! This is one set you won't regret spending the $ on!!
