Great Price, Fast shipping, Arrived well packed and in Perfect condition. Just wanted to share a few thoughts. I read the Best and the Worst reviews on these "Adjustable Dumbbells". I wanted a set that would work as intended and meet my Needs to have a quick and easy way to change the weight I was going to choose, by the exercise I was doing next. Honestly, I was a wee bit concerned that I might experience the plates falling of the handles, as some folks shared in their reviews. So, I was very careful and deliberate to really look them over when I received the two dumbbells. What I learned in that "inspection" is that the Weight adjustment happens ONLY when the Dumbbells are in the black plastic trays. There are some small silver metal detent pieces that are part of the cradle bases. The Dumbbells also have what appear to be white Nylon "buttons" that are depressed when the Dumbbells are in their cradles. The detents depressing the white buttons allow you to twist the grip handles to adjust the weight level you want, by rotating the grip handles. Those "buttons" are spring loaded and IF they aren't functioning properly, the locking mechanism for the individual plates may not be correctly locked in position. I pressed each of the "white buttons" with my index finger to check their movement and alignment at the base/end of each dumbbell's handle. A couple of them seemed like they were not moving smoothly in their location. I grabbed my spray can of Silicon Spray and gave each white button a small shot of Silicon. Then I depressed the "buttons" with my finger, in and out to make sure their travel within the handle base was uninhibited. A couple of them were a little "resistant" to a smooth operation, so I continued to depress and release those white buttons until they moved smoothly in their positions. With those Buttons functioning properly, I moved on to using the selection process of the various weights. The other thing I noticed was that IF the dumbbells weren't properly "nested" in the cradle base, the grip handles didn't rotate smoothly. I found that the Dumbbells needed to be seated properly in the base for the activation of the detents to disengage correctly. All it took to "free up" the ability to rotate the handles was to push down lightly on those handles, to fully engage to the detent locks, allowing the Grip handles to rotate easily in the cradles. My third thought was that to minimize the potential of a weight plate to fall out, I've chosen to mindfully rotate and use the Dumbbells with the RED FITRx - SmartBell "labels" facing Down whenever possible. That may be totally unnecessary. However, having the U-SHAPE of the weight plates completely under the forces of gravity and contained by the bar design seems to be an extra level of performance of the adjustability design. Now I Love 'Em!

Replaced a full weight set and bench with these weights. Absolutely Love, they are compact basically do the same job as a bench set, don't take up a half of room, instead easy to put away in coat closet (small closet) when finished. Also easy to keep up with, def. won't misplace a weight now. These are Awesome %26 Look Good Too- Highly Recommend
