HART 1/2-inch Drill/Driver (Battery Not Included)

I am really liking this drill. It does have a little weight to it, but nothing that makes a task difficult. The bits are easy to install, and it has a lot of power. I was able to easily sink several different types of screws and I also tried several different lengths of screws. It easily sunk all of them. Out of curiosity, I tried it on some of my smaller craftier projects, and as I thought, it was too powerful, but I wanted to try it. I do have a touch of arthritis setting in my hands and the grip on this drill was very comfortable for me. I also let my husband put it to the test and he liked it also. He has very strong hands and said the grip, including the size of the grip felt good in his hand. While this is not a game changer for me, my husband commented on the smaller size of the battery. He loves the smaller size! He said it gets rid of a lot of the weight and makes it more comfortable. That is probably a valid observation since he would use it for longer periods at a time than I would. The battery had a good working length also. He also commented on the light feature. He does a lot of building and cabinet work and is often under or inside of cabinets and it can be dark in there. This was his first time with the light feature and he will never do without it in the future. To him, that feature was priceless. We will invest in another battery, just to eliminate recharge time, and my husband just likes to have a spare. Overall, we both give it a 5 star rating.

This is a workhorse drill. It's powerful and produces the torque needed to get the job done. The rubber grip holds your hand steady while working. The LED light points in the perfect direction to help see what you're doing and stays on for about 15 seconds after stopping the drill. The variable speed trigger allows you to pick your power for your job. I like the fact it charges quickly and the charge lasts fairly long depending on how you're using the drill. The charger has an indicator light telling you when the lithium battery is fully charged. The weight is comparable to other drills in its size category which is about 3 pounds with battery in place. I like everything about this drill including how comfortable it feels in your hand.
