igloohome Smart Keybox

I bought this a few weeks ago to allow my Airbnb guests to check themselves in. The guest entrance is a sliding door so I couldn't use a smart lock directly on the door. The Airbnb calendar sync and automatic emails to send pins to guests is pretty cool, although (as far as I can figure out) it's not possible to change the time of day of the email if you don't have a specific check in time set on your Airbnb listing. My listing says check in time is 'flexible', so Igloohome sends the pin at 2pm local time, not really helpful when my guests arrive in the morning (and they usually arrive in the morning). I wouldn't buy this for the Airbnb calendar sync, frankly, since it's a) useless 50% of the time and b) they're going to start charging for it in a month or two. So, Critical Design Flaw. Apparently the lock can close and fasten even with something jamming it. It's pretty easy for a key hanging inside to lodge in the hinge and prevent the lock from fully engaging. The device closes and latches sufficiently to be impossible to reopen, but entering the pin code won't unlock. You (or worse, your guest) is caught in lock purgatory. So I just got a call from my guest at 10:30 at night that they couldn't get in. I ended up having to give them my own key and taking the lock upstairs to my living room. I finally figured out that I could reopen it by squeezing it hard closed (to re-engage the lock, I guess?) while entering the pin. I shudder to think how this would've played out if it had happened last week, when my guest arrived while I was on the other side of the country. Not much of a self check-in system if it can jam this easily.
