The opening on the front pockets are adequate, compared to other Wrangler jeans, even with a EDC knife in the right pocket. The leather reinforcement patch on the right pocket is a good feature, as is the utility pocket on the left leg. The utility pocket is the right size for carring a cell phone, Knipex Cobra's, etc., without them flopping and hitting your leg, as you're walking.
