Very safe to put inside my handbag.
This is perfect to put in my purse because the blade stays safely retracted inside the pen. The blade cannot come out until you push it out and when you take your finger off of the slider button then the blade automatically goes back inside. There is also a small hole located on the end opposite the blade where you can put a connector or cord on it for convenience.
