Simplicity Jacket Sewing Pattern

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to make a lightweight coat that would let me add some variations to it. The Simplicity Missess' Jackets sewing Pattern S9239 gives you the ability to make your Jacket your way. This pattern comes in sizes XXS-XS-S-M-L-XXL. I was not sure what type of fabric would be the best for this particular Jacket but Simplicity makes it easy to figure out on the back of the Pattern it has the Fabrics that are best suited for it. I chose to do Corduroy to start with. Simplicity allows you to make the Jacket any length, it gives you different collar variations, you can make your sleeves straight or flared and I love this one you can put the pockets on any way you want. I consider myself a beginner sewer and Simplicity patterns make me feel like a pro. The patterns come with step-by-step instructions and it also gives you the illustrations instructions. When I started this Jacket I was a bit reluctant to start it because I was a beginner but the way Simplicity gives you the step-by-step instruction I am feeling more and more confident that this will not be my first homemade piece.
