First-grade level for early readers with 20 frequently used sight words to help supplement learning. The cards are made of thick material which makes it difficult to bend and come in a nice mailer box for easy storage. There are cute animal characters on the cards to keep the child engaged while reading the words. They are great for the classroom as well as for at-home family fun. They can also be used as sight word flash cards and then progress your child to playing matching games. Directions: Players take turns turning 2 cards picture-side-up. A player makes a match if the 2 cards are identical. When a match is made, the player takes both cards and takes another turn until he/she misses. The player with the most matching pairs wins the game.
