Sooo much fun
I am 65. My wife is 60, and both of us have really been enjoying these. We've only had them for a week, and we are already running around like a couple of kids on them. We are buying the handlebars from another company that will make it more like a full size Segway. We don't have them yet, so this review is based on using the Mini-Pro without them.

Last Year's Great Purchase Deserved Another!
I bought a Minipro at Sam's November, 2016 when they held a special one day sale. Since then, I've ridden it over 900 miles, and enjoyed it so much we purchased another this November for my wife. Segway doesn't recommend those over 60 ride the Minipro, but I"m in my mid 70s. Sure it took me a lot longer to learn than the younger folks, but the effort was well worth it!. Some points to remember: Check the tire pressure every time you go out, and set them at 50 psi (last year Segway recommended 40 - 45 psi; this year they say 45-50psi). The biggest single complaint against the Minipro is that the tires leak. I think it's due to them holding very little air, so that even a minor loss lets the pressure drop well under 30 psi, which probably increases tire flex, hastening leakage from the stem and sidewall seals. Today I still have no problem reaching 14 miles on a single charge trip - the batteries are lasting just fine - maybe because I make sure to follow Segway's directions and not let capacity go below 20%. And it charges very fast - well within Segway's stated 4 hour time-frame. Don't expect speed. The Minipro is a touring vehicle, and will NOT reach 11mph. With it's wide 10.5" tires, the Minipro is far easier to control than hover boards over less than perfectly smooth terrain, but it's still not nearly as stable as a bike. When going onto a high lipped driveway, it's safer to go in at an angle, letting one wheel go up onto the driveway so it has stability for the next one. You might see videos of larger Segways going along wooded trails, but the Minipro has very limited ground clearance, which can easily be stopped by hidden rocks or branches. You'll find it challenging just to go over relatively smooth lawns and grassy fields. You may be surprised at how relatively trivial sidewalk dips and cracks when walking, turn into forces to be reckoned when on a Minipro. Trails can provide excitement while teetering along at walking speed - I once traveled about 6 miles on a trail circling a lake, on two occasions walking the Minipro around obstacles. Florida, with its flat surface, is ideal for Minipros. I have access to several hundred miles of local streets with virtually no daytime auto traffic, so I never get bored with the same old scenery. And when I must use heavily trafficked areas, I have access to sidewalks, being careful to give right of way to the occasional pedestrian. People within a gated community, no matter how large, should consider carefully if they'll be able to use their Minipro outside of their community, or whether, after a few months, they'll just leave their vehicle gathering dust in the garage. Finally, it's very easy to put the Segway into the car trunk; it's very compact with the stick detached, allowing one to travel to various jogging/bike trails

Well built and a lot of fun
I have always wanted a Segway ever since I rented one a few years ago. I just didn't want to shell out $4k. This is not quite to that level but it is definitely well built and I feel safe. It is easy to get the hang of and it is also a good value and a lot of fun. The safety speed governor is a little annoying but I understand the need since we live in such a litigious society. I have a few more miles to go for the lower speed limit to be lifted but so far, so good. I definitely recommend buying one.
