Scrabble Twist Game

I love playing scrabble.It's one of my favorite game board games. So when I saw this, I was so happy to receive. It was easy to get it started. You remove the blue dots that spell twist. On the back is a Philips screw that you loosen to install the batteries (not included). It takes 3 AA batteries. Very easy to put in. To get started you twist the red end on the left. Then your option comes up how you want to play. You can play the PARTY game which is 2-8 players, TURBO which is head to head challenge, and then SOLO if you want to play by yourself. This is how I first played. You tap one of the letters and 5 letters come up. You have 1 minute to find as many words as you can out of the 5 letters. You tap out the words, twist and it scores automatically so you don't have to write anything down. This was fun. Once I got used to it, I was working it like a pro. (Ha ha) . If the words good, the unit will play a "You got it! " sound. If it's wrong you get 5 X's. When your time is up, it displays your score. When you play with more than 1 player, it's so much fun. My friend and I were giggling trying to find words. I am retired and I am at the age where I need to keep my brain stimulated. My brain is getting a workout with this, and it is fun! Best of all, I can play by myself. So light and compact, and very easy to use. You can take this anywhere. Take it in your purse to parties, great to play in the car, or anywhere else.Kids would have fun playing this in the car on those long trips! The letters are lit up, so you can play in the dark! This has taken SCRABBLE to a new level. No more pulling out a board, and tile pieces. No paper and pencil to keep score. Wow! this is great! I just love this idea! I am now giving my old Scrabble deluxe game to a neighbor. LOVE this!

Who knew something so simple could be so much fun! We have a group that plays Scrabble board game once a week and when I saw this I had to get it to give it a try. If you want to liven up a group of old folks like me this is for you lol. You can play solo or have up to 8 players per game. It has 3 different skill levels (good luck on the "Pro" level lol), There is a "Party" mode for 2 to 8 players were everyone is given the same letters and they have 15 seconds to make a word by pressing the keys then "twist" to "bank" the word. If you don't bank a word in the 15 seconds your out! You can not duplicate someone else's word or it will buzz you and you have to try again within the 15 second you started with, see how crazy this can become! There is "Turbo" mode where each player gets 60 seconds to "bank" as many words as they can then the next player does the same using the same letters. The person with the highest score wins! Points are: 3 letter words - 3 points, 4 letter words - 5 points, 5 letter words - 7 points. In "Solo" mode (1 player) you get 60 seconds to "bank" as many words as you can out of the 5 letters you are given. Try to beat your high score each time, its a great way to get you thinking fast on your feet. It does take 3 AA batteries that are not included so make sure you have some fresh ones on hand. For the price its really a fun game even for us 'Baby Boomers"! lol.
